Default Guild Wars: Doomlore Shrine?

I'm sorry if there is a thread like this, or if it should be moved, do so accordingly.

This is a small rant to Eye of the North.





Take a look at those two pictures, do you see a problem? I do. Eye of the North isn't labelled as a capital, but rather, an outpost. Which means one thing: you have to look for it on the map. It's the town of the Ebon Vanguard, yet, the town of the exiled Charr is far more important, without it's craftable consumables, weapons, or armor that requires the use of your rank 5 Charr Overlord title track...wait, there is no Charr title track. See a problem with this? The game is called...EYE OF THE NORTH. NOT DOOMLORE SHRINE.

If you want to access the Eye of the North area, after you're done with it, may be for this sole reason: to access your Hall of Monuments. Now you, have the speedy computer which can steamroll over everyone else. I have one of those, however. Some people don't. Which means, if you're in the Guild Hall, and you want to go to the Hall of Monuments to show your friends your awesomeness, you have to load Lion's Arch, then Eye of the North, then the Hall of Monuments. Those people who take three minutes to load, have to wait extra time.

Can we not get an Asuran gate, or just cheat and have Eye of the North an option on the warp boat thing? It'd make things easier, since my girlfriend and her brother don't have super fast computers, so I have to sit for about 5 minutes for them to load Lion's arch, then extra time at Eye of the North and then load the Hall of Monuments.

And about the Hall of Monuments, can we somehow, enable an option to choose who's hall to show? Such as, whoever is leader, there's a person you can go to, to display someone else's hall. Player 1's Hall is automatically loaded, but you have six people, and Player 5 wishes you load up their hall for everyone to see. Everyone agrees, but everyone has to leave back to Eye of the North, then revert Player 5 to the top of the party, then go back inside the Hall, for two more loading screens.

I know, it's possible not to do that, for if Player 1 leaves, Player 2's Hall of Monuments is instantly loaded, with all the sparkles included. Make an NPC that can change the Halls at will by the party leader. It'd make things a lot easier.

So, in conclusion.

1) Change Eye of the North to a capital rather than an outpost, I do not mind if Doomlore is a capital, makes finding that easier.
2) Please provide an instant warp to Eye of the North from the boat icon.
3) Player 1 have the ability to change the Hall of Monuments displayed to another party member.

They used to have it as a town during the preview event, i liked it that way, no clue why they changed it. Not a huge deal though.

i agree with what you suggest though.

umm... to look at other ppl's hall all u have to do is make that person a party leader

If you look, I covered that. It's tedious to have to load an extra two loading screens just to see that hall. Please read my post with more thought, rather than make a fool of yourself.

Did you read the post?

That requires loading back into the Eye which lags like no other town in GW...then rearrange the party list so #5 player is #1, then load back into the hall.

Making an NPC that merely reloads the Hall of Monuments based on the character chosen in a list would make slim down this process by about 75%.

The boat travel icon has all the port cities..but IMO EotN should be on there as well...( I'm also wondering how someone who only owns NF goes to EotN? You can't zone to LA?

Then make the Asuran gate appear on all maps, and have an option to go straight to Eye of the North, or the Hall of Monuments is some prefer. I don't like the extra loading screens, because I can be impatient, and I hate loading the extra loading screens. Feels like PS2....

There is an asuran gate on each of the three maps...one outside LA (pointless), one outside Kaineng, and one outside Kamadan. This goes straight to Boreal Station with is a quick jump away from EOTN.

But you still have to load three different spots.

Yes, I know, but it's one of the dumbest additions to the game, in my opinion. I'd rather it go straight to the Hall, or EotN. And include one on the Battle Isles map, too, so I can go there straight from my Guild Hall.

EotN is an expansion, not a campaign like NF.

It is a good point. Boreal Station is *never* where you really want to go.

Make it a direct flight to Eye of the North--and make EotN a town. It's silly that it isn't.
